In 2022 Alexander was at a retreat in the mountains of Colorado and was meditating on his writing career. Perhaps from the same place as the writing, a message came through to him saying "Your writing makes people cry with its truth. It is a gift" Over time these words percolated through and Alexander started to write individual poems for people in his life and sending them these poems as a gift.

 

From here, moments of hardship have provided Alexander with the honor of writing and reading poems for four funerals, and at many birthdays and births as well.
