In 2022 Alexander was at a retreat in the mountains of Colorado and was meditating on his writing career. Perhaps from the same place as the writing, a message came through to him saying "Your writing makes people cry with its truth. It is a gift, share it."

 

Over time these words settled within him and over the last three years, Alexander has written poems for four funerals, two obituaries, two births, two weddings, a naming ceremony, and has sent out poetic responses to communities who have experienced natural disasters and mass shootings. He also regularly sends out poems to those in his life, as gestures of thanks, connection, and mourning.

If you feel somebody in your life could use a poem, for $50 Alexander will meet with you via phone or zoom, discuss your vision and subject for the poem, then write the poem and email it to you.
